From one white person to another: workshop

June 4, 2017 @ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

$10

Join us for an afternoon of self reflection and action.

Heather Marie Scholl created “From one white person to another” fill in the blank stickers almost 2 years ago. They have appeared on the streets in NYC and DC. We will be creating short slogans and sayings for these stickers. By centering our discussion around this fun and low stress activity, we will unleash our courage and creativity! To warm up we will be talking about our experiences interrupting racism, what we could do differently.

All stickers created during the workshop will be left with us and we will stealthily place them around town. Your voice will be heard (anonymously).

The focus on this workshop is white people addressing other white people, as we believe it is our responsibility to intervene and to resist racism wherever it appears. However, we do not believe in creating public white only events, all people are welcome!

This is a vulnerable and safe space, things you share and hear may make you uncomfortable. Come as you are, be prepared to share, and to be challenged.

Suggested donation of $10 to benefit the Bureau. No one turned away for lack of funds.
