A former contributor to both Just Out Portland (Oregon’s biweekly LGBTQ newspaper) and Options (Providence’s LGBTQ monthly), writer Mare Davis has previously published three books of poems: Twenty-eight Days, My Father’s House, and Dangerous Kisses. She holds a Ph.D. in English Literature and currently teaches college composition at Johnson & Wales University. Alice and Fay, A Fairy Adventure is her first book for children – albeit of all ages – inspired in part by her many visits to the South of France where she owns a home with a group of friends.
