The Bureau to Leave Strange Loop at End of August

The Bureau of General Services – Queer Division hereby announces that we shall depart from Strange Loop Gallery on August 31, 2013, at the end of nine and a half lovely months. We are extremely grateful to Strange Loop Gallery for allowing us to remain in this beautiful space for seven months longer than we had originally planned. Thank you, Claire Fleury and Alesia Exum!

“Whither the Bureau?”, you ask. Fear not. We will launch an Indiegogo fundraising campaign that will run from late July through early September in order to secure the funds we need to find a permanent home for the Bureau. We have many exciting plans, so please stay tuned!

In our first seven months of existence, the Bureau has hosted over 85 stimulating events and we have provided you with an engaging selection of books, periodicals, zines, and art works. Your continuing support will be critical to our successful transition into a new space. We very much appreciate all of your enthusiastic responses to our work, your collaborations with us, and your generous donations of time, energy, ideas, and materials. We also thank you for spreading the word about the Bureau! We very much look forward to continuing to serve you in our new home, and we hope that you will help us to make this possible.

Strange Loop Gallery reopens in September with a Fashion and Photography extravaganza, including designers Martin KeehnBcalla,Domonique Echeverria, the launch of Claire Fleury‘s fashion label, and photography by Gerry ViscoRyan BurkeAlesia Exum.
